1.During the course I did know more about Privacy and Human- entered  learning, from  doing this, learned how important our privacy in the Morden technology. This learning contributed the development of protect personal privacy during the modern technology. This learning matters to me because I found that the importance to keep personal privacy, and for my personal experience, my WeChat  has been leakage.

2. During the course, I did learned a lot about equity and access. From doing this, I know the open education can impact the higher education in many sides. This learning contributed the development to realized how to  make open education more equal and access for students to use. This learning matters to me because I never think about the equity on the open education. When I got the reading, I found that is important for us to consider it.

learning outcome2 Privacy and Human Centred Learning

After read the topic1 ,the public should be most concerned about how to protect their personal information and data from being leaked. We use all kinds of social media in our daily life. While users are enjoying the pleasure brought by social media, they are also paying more and more attention to the protection of personal privacy. As we all know, when we first registered for social media, We will all be asked by the platform for personal information, including basic information such as name, age, gender, etc. Although all social media will have their own privacy protection measures, in recent years, social media leaks of users’ personal information have happened repeatedly. So how is our information leaked on this social media software? First, when a user registers and fills in personal information, the user’s information is transmitted to the platform. Using the existing big data technology, the platform can quickly judge the user. Most platforms will secretly collect users’ personal information without the user’s knowledge, such as takeaway software, which will secretly collect information such as personal address and other information based on the user’s order information. For another example, some short video platforms will also actively push some content to users according to the frequency and content of users’ viewing, etc., and users’ personal preferences will be recorded by the platform unknowingly. In addition, some platforms will push advertisements for users based on this, inducing users to make irrational consumption. So is there a positive side to the way users’ personal data is collected? The answer is also yes. For the construction of a personal learning network, collecting users’ data can analyze users’ preferences for certain functions. For example, in the field of education, students’ personal data can be collected, and the platform can know which content is popular based on the number of viewings by students. Helps improve personal learning networks and make the user experience better. Regan, P., & Jesse, J. (2019). After I finished reading, I had a better understanding of open education. In essence, open education provides students with a more equitable way to ensure that every student has the right to higher education. According to the examples in the article, even in today’s North American continent, more than half of the students are still unable to enter higher education because of economic problems. This phenomenon will be more pronounced in developing countries. So how to build a more effective open learning environment? According to the description in the article, students should be allowed to build their own course content settings, including the setting of exams and learning goals. This can more motivate students to learn. From my personal experience, I can feel that in high school During this period, our teachers will let us build the content of the classroom, teachers will also ask us to create our own problems, and we need to find the answers to our own problems. This teaching method also better drives our enthusiasm for learning. On the other hand I also learned about data redlines in education. I can understand that in many countries and regions, governments or public organizations restrict the information searched on the Internet, and many contents cannot be displayed. According to the description of the article, many community college students in the United States are treated unequally. Compared with those in normal higher education, community college students are limited in data search. In my personal understanding, in many cases , the shaping of students is also influenced by regulators to a certain extent, and what kind of students a government or institution needs to work for is influenced by its ideology to a certain extent. This will greatly limit the individual’s thinking and growth, which is a great constraint for the individual. On the other hand, we need to more consideration on digital redlining. Can we imagine that if the Uvic library provide the articile without license? if we find that there is no license at Uvic, this is an inconvenient for most of students at Uvic. And this will make higher education get hurt. Students can not access into library and get material they need. If you need to write a paper, you will need more time to find resources in other ways. It will take more time and possible get a lower quality assignment

I think open education and open resource pedagogy are intrinsically mutually reinforcing, and I fully agree with the introduction of the open resource pedagogy in the article. Students write their own notes in class and share them with other students. This method is A sustainable development teaching model, I think this can greatly improve the effect of classroom teaching, and avoid the situation that students are bored and bored with the content of the classroom in the traditional classroom model. Hands-on can personally experience the content of the classroom and each specific link. In addition, I also agree with the term recyclable homework in the article. Personally, in the past, I rarely read the teacher’s comments. Basically, when I submit the homework, I don’t care anymore. this class. Open teaching has changed the previous teaching mode, which is a great innovation. In my personal educational experience, something similar happened in middle school where teachers encouraged us to share our class notes and show them in class. And encouraging students to discuss freely, these have greatly improved my learning. Wiley, D., & Hilton III, J. (2018). Defining OER-Enabled Pedagogy. The development of modern technology is of great help to the field of education. After reading the article, I have a deeper understanding of the application process of the development of information technology in education. Also roughly know the general process of development.I think some of the points of the article are very agreeable to me. First of all, I think that in general, we should recognize that the development of modern education technology is a revolution in the field of education. The innovation of modern education technology has not only changed the traditional teaching mode, it is a major challenge not only for students, but also for teachers. In the article, it is mentioned that the development of modern education technology has greatly lowered the threshold of learning. I think this is a good thing for society, because not everyone has the right to receive higher education, due to the different economic development between regions. Balance, many students do not have enough resources to enter university studies, however, the development of modern education technology has greatly reduced the inequality of wealth in education. On the other hand, the development of modern education technology has also provided educational guarantees for emergencies. In particular, the global pandemic of the new crown pneumonia has made face-to-face education at the offline level extremely difficult, but the development of modern education technology has solved this problem. Distance education platforms such as Zoom have provided technical support for students to educate during the lockdown, so that people no longer have to worry about the progress of the course. In the past 25 years of development, the upgrading of modern technology has provided more technical support and theoretical research for the educational level. I believe that in the future, there will be more new technologies spewing out, which will be better To serve the future development of educational technology and provide more convenient services for students and teacher.

After reading the article, I feel that I have gained a lot. I have never before considered that the application of modern technology in education will bring so many moral and legal problems.I think modern technology plays an important role in educational area. But I still firmly believe that the level of protection regarding the privacy of individual user data should continue to be strengthened. We can’t just deny modern technology.Governments and regulators should find better ways to deal with the problems that modern technology may bring in the field of education.n the past, I often used modern technology to learn, and I also tried a lot of learning software.I myself never realized that I had been unknowingly affected by big data.I’d like to learn more about how the legal level responds to the moral crisis raised by the growing number of privacy protection. The thing that confuses me most in the article is that edtech companies avoid parental agreements with school. This makes it impossible for students and parents to decide whether their personal information has been leaked. The power of modern technology is powerful, but it has also triggered more and more moral crises. If our children have been influenced by technologies such as big data in their youth, this will undoubtedly lead to their loss of a certain degree of independence. The so-called Personalized education is also a learning method with a certain personal color and perspective, which does not allow all students to benefit from them.In addition, I am also worried that education technology companies will reduce the quality of teachers. If more and more teachers use modern technology to teach, it will greatly save their time, but it will also increase the laziness of the teaching profession. In addition, this It may further lead to class differentiation. Due to the inequality of family income, not all families can afford this expense.
